This file reverts the missions/scripts back to the beta patch version.. as in there are no new scripts here. After installation of this Part 6, run the TNG Mega batch file. Your missions will be exactly the same as the beta patch.

There is no longer a server for this mod.

I am not ruling out future updates for this mod.
In fact there are some more ships I'd like to add at some point. This should help you out for the moment..

HERE IS THE READ ME FOR THIS ENTIRE MOD...

You will end up with several files on your desktop.

TNG Mega Mod.bat activates this mod.
Orig 1.02 Game returns you to the original game. THIS SHOULD SAY 1.01 Beta 2. A typo on my part.

The Galaxy Batch files let you select which Galaxy hull you wish to play. Enterprise D, USS Galaxy, USS Odyssey, USS Venture.

The Dominion Wars.Bat is there for variety as you can select to play just that - but that would not work on the server. Dominion Wars was the 1st part of this mega-mod released early January 2003.

As of this writing, 3/17/03, There is a TNG Mega Mod server, hosted by Praxis.

There is some new audio here as well. Look in a directory called Dominion Wars audio in your game directory, and the sounds and voices to your game per these instructions:

To install the new audio... use Winzip with no compression. Open Winzip and Windows Explorer at the same time. Browse to your game directory and look for the 'Dominion Wars Audio' folder. Open up the folder inside there called SFCVoice. In Winzip open the file assets\sound\SFCVoice.zip. Drag all the sounds in the SFCVoice Folder into the zip file, making sure compression is set to none ('store' if using Winrar). Add the files.

Do the same for the SFCSounds. Open up SFCSounds.zip in Winzip.

This procedure will greatly enhance your Dominion Wars/TNG Experience, and is required to have the audio work correctly.

There are some custom scripts for this mod included here - that will playable on the server hosted -as of this writing - by Praxis. Clicking TNGMega.bat will copy the new files into the game, Orig. bat will put the original files back in.

Description

There are 5 new Scripts, two are very similar to Scan & Distress Call.

**Survey** - Added a couple of extra races who could interfere, and you now have to probe the planet to acheive a victory.

**Emergency** - Same as Distress Call, but you can now be called to aid ANY ship from your race, save the top two most powerful ships. Also, the attacking ships could be any ship, from any of your enemies.

**Seek & Destroy** - My personal favourite this one. An enemy fleet has been spotted in your territory, your job is to eliminate all enemy vessels. You're assigned additional vessels to aid you in your mission. (Usually 3 on 3, but occasionally it's 4 on 4 carnage)

**Pirate Raid** - There will be a raid by Pirates on one of your smaller ships. Could be up to 3 vessels. You'll get more prestige if you capture the vessel, rather than destroy it.

**Scout** - A Scouting Party has been detected in the area, your sent to investigate. You have to eliminate the enemy ship(s) and scan the planet for any spy equipment or recent transporter activity. On some occassions, this can turn out to be an ambush, as 2 or 3 enemy ships will be there, not one.

Hail Scripts

All the Hail scripts are identical to before, except that you can now gain more prestige.

I already have a few ideas for some new scripts, if you have any suggestions, feel free to e-mail me with them, or post them on the SFC forums. I'll see what I can do.

Converting these scripts for use with other mods
------------------------------------------------

These scripts were all originally written for my mod, which isn't yet released, but will be shortly. If anyone with a major mod, (Chris Jones Dominion Wars or The Neutral Zone for example), would these additional scripts converting for use with their mod (along with updated Hail scripts of course), then I require a 100% accurate version of the DefaultLoadOut file. I must stress the 100% accurate part, as even a capital letter in place of a lower case letter will cause the script to crash.


If you want to specify the amounts of prestige gained, then you are free to do so, otherwise I will leave them as they are in my scripts.

Terrain..

The TNG Mod has been updated to include many new ships and terrain. The terrain can be fitted with weapons if you wish to blow up a planet.

I recently flew the USS Defiant, a TNG Excelsior, the two Sabres and one Norway against the Cube at speed 11. Shuttles everywhere, lol, and my Fed shuttles have two Phaser 9s, similiar to what I saw on Deep Space Nine shows. I was in the Defiant and when I warped somewhere the fleet warped with me. I have the audio from the TNG Mod for OP in there now. The computer voice now says that the shields are down to 71% - Worf says 'Our Shields have collapsed. We are defenseless'! -- Sisko yells - 'Get those shields back on line!' When a Fed goes to warp Picard says. 'Ensign get us out of here maximum warp!' or Data says. 'Lay in a course and engage at Warp 9.3'. There are 2 red alerts, one with Sisko and the other with the Computer (Majel Barrett Roddenberry's voice). Photon and Quantum torpedo audio is new. I have also have Major Kira saying 'Shields Up! and Chief O'Brien saying, 'What shields?' right after that (from DS9: The Emissary'). There are no shield indicators on the ships, which is much more realistic IMO. (you can use the GUI shield indicators to see what your status is.) There is more realistic Pulse Phaser audio as well.

All of this comes together quite nicely in game.
Speed 11. Love it.
